COLLABORATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN OCME AND BRB GLOBUS FOR THE INDUSTRIALIZATION OF THE LABELLING MACHINE “SAGITTA-MEGA ROLL” BRB Globus, a company specialised in engineering and manufacturing of both linear and rotary labelling machines that feature hot, cold glue and adhesive technology and are sold to the alcoholic beverage, food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and Ocme (www.ocme.it) have recently started a collaboration with a view to making the best of the sales channels of both companies and rationalising the project of the rollfed labelling machine in order to achieve scale economies and standardise their product range. In 2004 Ocme, a long-time acknowledged leader in the supply of packaging, palletizing and logistic systems for the beverage industry, started a project focused on the development of the machines usually installed upstream of the "dry” part of the line. This is how the level filler Hydra (2004) and the labeller Sagitta (2006) came to life enabling the company to offer complete turn key plants. Sagitta is a rollfed labelling machine which labels round PET bottle formats from 0.33 to 3 litres. According to this new project, the machine body, the infeed, the carousel and the outfeed are taken from well tested BRB machines and are assembled with the cutter roller, label roller system and hot glue application system developed by OCME. The new version of Sagitta MEGA-ROLL was firstly introduced at the BRB stand (Hall A2 Stand 133) during the Drinktec Exhibition in Munich (from 14th to 19th September 2009). BUYER: KERRY OIL BRB Globus a obtenu la fourniture multiple auprès du deuxième producteur d’huile comestible de la République populaire de Chine, qui est aussi bien un sponsor des prochaines Jeux olympiques de Beijing. Il s’agit d’étiqueteuses rotatives avec des stations à colle à froid pour des conteneurs de 4 et de 5 litres contournés avec des étiquettes longues jusqu’à 240 mm et pour conteneurs cylindriques avec et sans orientation du manche. Toutes les machines sont pourvues de PLC et elles peuvent arriver à une vitesse de 7.000 bouteilles/h environ. Les machines seront utilisées par les différents « contract packager » du grand groupe chinois qui lui fournissent les bouteilles vides et étiquetées, ensuite remplies par le producteur même dans ses établissements. Par ces motifs, pour certains conteneurs il a été nécessaire de pressuriser les bouteilles pour permettre une bonne résistance des parois en plastique des conteneurs à la pression d’application et au lissage de l’étiquette. BUYER: GSK BRB Globus, a obtenu la fourniture d’une étiqueteuse ROTATIVE autoadhésive ( équipée de groupes autoadhésifs Hoppmann) pour la société GSK. Cette machine applique 2 étiquettes autoadhésives sur un conteneur pharmaceutique très spécial. Le conteneur est acheminé à l’intérieur de “godets” et, afin de pouvoir être étiqueté, il nécessite d’être soulevé par ce “godet”. La caractéristique particulière de la machine demeure dans le fait que plus que la moitié de la hauteur du conteneur se trouve à l’intérieur du “godet”, tandis que sa base résulte inclinée. Le bureau technique de BRB Globus a accepté le défi que ce conteneur spécial a lancé aux capacités de personnalisation et de flexibilité de l’entreprise et il a étudié un système pourvu d’une tournette spéciale étant à même de soulever le conteneur hors du “godet”, sans le faire tomber, d’étiqueter le flacon et finalement de le poser à nouveau dans le « godet ». La machine est pourvue d’un système redondant de stations d’application, qui lui permet de travailler sans interruptions causées par la fin de bobines et en plus elle est pourvue d’un système de rejet du produit commandé par des caméras vidéo et d’une double imprimante au laser, dont l’installation et l’intégration a été effectuée à l’aide de Shibuya-Hoppmann. BUYER: BAUER BRB Globus obtained the supply of a ROTARY labelling machine, with cold glue, MEGA STATIC 1822 model, for company BAUER in Graz, which is the contract packager for Jaggermeister mark. The labeller applies label and back-label on rectangular mignons of 20,40 and 100 ml at 18.000 bph speed. BUYER: PIERSANTI BRB Globus obtained the supply of a ROTARY MIXED labelling machine, with self-adhesive glue (provided with Etipack heads) for Piersanti wine company in Jesi. Piersanti, who already has a BRB Globus glue labelling machine, seen the positive trend of the market and aware of the handy and trustworthy characteristics together with the precision of BRB Globus labellers, renewed its trust in our company, by ordering a versatile machine, able to apply both self-adhesive and paper labels with traditional glue for labels, back labels and little collars on up to x bottle sizes. BRB Globus gave a positive answer to any need of company Piersanti by supplying a compact labelling machine, having maximum flexibility and ultra-rapid change of size. BUYER: COSMAIR BRB Globus obtained the double supply of a ROTARY self-adhesive labelling machine (provided with Hoppmann heads) for company Cosmair, part of L’Oreal mark. This machine applies 4 self-adhesive labels on a very particular container for hair dyeing. The container is made of 2 separated parts, one of which rests on the other, but without being fixed to it. Technical Department of BRB Globus designed a particular plate that can perfectly handle this special container. The machine is provided with a rejection system of the product, which is controlled by several cameras and a double laser printer, whose installation and integration has been carried out with the assistance of Hoppmann Corporation. BUYER: BREBAN BRB Globus awarded the supply of a Mega Combo version, which is specific for sparkling wine bottles for Breban customer, France. It is a rotary labeller with bottle table having 1.000 mm diameter, with ten plates and with two cold glue units and two self-adhesive units. One of the most relevant characteristics of this machine is its optoelectronic orientation as well as its step-by-step motors for each single plate. These are important features if we consider that each collar shall be applied on the bottle as its central part is exactly under the writing marked on the capsule. Another considerably important characteristic to be noticed is its possibility of varying plates movements directly from a keyboard, with no need of connecting it to a Pc or replacing any electronic card inside the machine. Mega Combo is also versatile: the customer can choose whether to apply self-adhesive labels or paper-glue ones. The change of the format is immediate and very easy: if the two adhesive units do not light up or turn on the machine runs with cold glue; if it is not the case, cold glue units disconnect and leave only self-adhesive ones running. The model chosen by the customer can reach up to about 6.000 bottles /hour, but other versions of Mega Combo reach up to 12.000 pieces/ hour. |
